Oberlin Rising (2018) is a public art piece by American artist Thomas Sayre. Oberlin Rising reflects on the history of Oberlin and the once vibrant African American community that created Oberlin Village. Design elements are subtle and experienced through on-site exploration and discovery including references to the original house foundations, stories of the neighborhood, and native plantings can be discovered.
